Governor Celestine Omehia stated this yesterday at Ndoni in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area of the state, during the traditional marriage ceremony between Miss Chinelo Odili, daughter of Dr. Peter Odili, and Hon. Uche George Obi, son of Eze Ogba of Ogbaland and member of the State Assembly.

Sir Omehia advised the bride to imbibe the loving spirit of her parents who have been adjudged as exemplary couple in Nigeria and make her positive impact on the Oba’s family.

He expressed satisfaction that the union has been ordained by God, particularly as the groom comes from the family of a disciplinarian and the traditional ruler of the Ogba land, pointing out that the consent of both families was responsible for the large turn out of dignitaries at the event.

The governor hinted that the impressive presence of members of the state House of Assembly, Executive Council, the Bar and Bench, amongst others, was an indication that the entire state was standing by the marriage, and also prayed God to bless the union.

Also speaking, the Amanyanabo of Opobo Kingdom, King Dandeson Douglas Jaja, said by the marriage, the two families have been joined together, and charged the new couple to work on how best to have a successful relationship, and pronounced royal blessings upon the marriage.
